Robert T. Barnes, 23, of Dover, was arrested Thursday on 25 counts of dealing in child pornography, according to a release from the Delaware Department of Justice.

The release said the arrest is a result of a proactive undercover investigation by the Delaware Child Predator Task Force into the distribution of child pornography online. Task Force personnel, along with detectives and a trooper from Delaware State Police Troop #3, arrested Barnes following the execution of a search warrant at his residence at 240 Maidstone Road.

When the search warrant was executed at the residence, detectives seized multiple computers and other digital media. An initial forensic analysis revealed multiple video files of child pornography.

He was charged with 25 counts of dealing in child pornography. Following his arrest, Barnes was video arraigned at JP Court #2 and was committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in lieu of $250,000 secured bail.
