State police arrested a Dover woman Sunday who allegedly stabbed a man during a fight at a residence in the 200 block of Chenault Court, in the Generals Green neighborhood.

According to police, Tyeshia M. Heath, 21, was involved in an altercation around 7 a.m. that was reported to police by neighbors who overheard the commotion.

When troopers arrived at the scene, they found the unnamed 28-year-old victim bleeding from his shoulder. He was taken to BayHealth Kent General Hospital and was listed in stable condition after being treated for a stab wound and lacerations.

Investigators said Heath and the victim were fighting about an undisclosed personal matter when Heath allegedly grabbed an 8-inch knife and stabbed the victim at least once.

Heath later was arrested without incident outside the Autumn Run apartment complex off Webbs Lane in Dover.

She was charged with possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, second-degree assault and reckless endangering, then released on a $14,000 unsecured bond.
