Man, teen arrested after giving fake names in separate incidents
A man and a teen girl were arrested Aug. 24 by Milford police after they gave police false names after traffic stops.

In the first, Milford police pulled a Georgetown man over because of a traffic violation when he gave them the false name, said Cpl. Robert Masten, spokesman for the Milford Police Department.
 

Police arrested Frederick E. Daniels, 41, and turned him over to Delaware State Police regarding another warrant. No other information was available.

In the second, a 16-year-old girl gave police a fake name and was taken to the police department where she was charged with criminal impersonation. She also was wanted for five active warrants and released to the custody of her mother, Masten said.

Harrington police arrested three teens Aug. 19 in connection with a stolen truck.
The truck owner was in the hospital when one of his teen relatives took the cars and went driving with two other teens, said Cpl. Earl K. Brode, spokesman for the Harrington Police Department.

The teens were charged with theft of a motor vehicle and second-degree conspiracy. The alleged driver also was charged with driving without a license. All three were released to the custody of their parents.

A 49-year-old woman and 17-year-old boy face charges after allegedly attacking two people Aug. 6 who came to their Reese Avenue home in answer to a text message.

As the two confronted the residents, the woman came out at hit one of them in the face while yelling and cursing at them, said Cpl. Earl K. Brode, spokesman for the Harrington Police Department. The 17 year old then came out with a baseball bat and began chasing them and threatening to kill them, he said.

Police arrested Anita J. Redden and charged her with offensive touching and disorderly conduct. She was released on $500 unsecured bond.

The 17 year old was charged with aggravated menacing, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, terrroristic threatening and disorderly conduct. He also was charged with grafitti with damage under $1,000 for a previous incident. He was released to the custody of his mother.

Harrington police arrested a 46-year-old Harrington man Aug. 13 after police say he threatened to burn down a woman’s house and poured bleach on her clothes, said Cpl. Earl K. Brode.

Police arrested Vanty L. Farrington and charged him with terroristic threatening and criminal mischief under $1,000. He was released on $1,500 unsecured bond.

Woman faces charges after throwing cup at boyfriend, police say

Harrington police arrested a 44-year-old Harrington woman Aug. 16 after she allegedly threw a cup at him, cutting his head.

Police investigated the fight and discovered the boyfriend needed  sutures to close his cut, said Cpl. Keith B. Shyers, spokesman for the Harrington Police Department.

Police arrested Kathleen R. Coppock and charged her with second-degree assault and disorderly conduct. She was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $2,250 secured bond.

Man, 40, charged in connection with domestic fight

A 40-year-old Harrington man was arrested Aug. 16 after police say he fought with his girlfriend.

Harrington police arrested Andrew M. Boele and charged him with terroristic threatening, offensive touching and disorderly conduct. He was released on $1,500 unsecured bond.
