A sedan and pickup truck collided Monday evening while crossing the intersection of Washington and Southeast 2nd streets, sending one person to the hospital.

The sedan, a blue Toyota Camry, collided with the truck, a red Chevrolet, on the passenger side and pinned it against a telephone pole. The car came to rest with its hood wedged under the truck, lifting the Chevy into the air.

The angles of the cars seemed to indicate that the sedan was traveling west on 2nd Street when it hit the truck, which was was going north on Washington. In that case, the truck would have had a stop sign. However, information is not available on the exact cause of the crash.
