Milford police have arrested Mason T. Alexander for the robbery of an Arby's restaurant last week, and Tina Lopez, an employee of the restaurant, for helping him commit the crime.
Milford police have arrested both the man who they say robbed the Milford Arby's at gunpoint last week and an Arby's employee who allegedly helped him commit the crime.
Tina Lopez, 21, and Mason T. Alexander, 22, both of Milford, were arrested on March 27 for robbery, conspiracy and unlawful imprisonment. Police say Alexander was the masked man who entered Arby's on the night of March 25 and stole an undisclosed amount of money at gunpoint. According to police reports, Lopez helped him enter the building, posed as a victim, and helped restrain a fellow employee, a 37-year-old female, during the robbery.
Police say Alexander's weapon was later revealed to be a black-painted BB gun.
Both Lopez and Alexander were charged with first-degree robbery, aggravated menacing, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, second-degree conspiracy and offensive touching. In addition, Alexander was charged with wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony and offensive touching.
After the arrest, it was discovered that both Lopez and Alexander were wanted on other charges, Lopez through Justice of the Peace Court 6 and Alexander through the Kent County Courty of Common Pleas.
Both were arraigned through Justice of the Peace Court 7, Alexander was committed to Sussex Correctional Institute in default of $17,750 bond and Lopez was committed to Women's Correctional Institute in Claymont, in default of $8,600.00 bond.
