Soup and Clothes Outreach at Freedom Worship Center

St. Paul UM Church hosting Gospel Fest

St. Paul United Methodist Church will host its fourth annual Gospel Fest at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at the Milford High School Auditorium. The concert will feature various choirs, soloist and praise dancers. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger.

St. Paul Church is located at 300 North St., Milford. A free will offering will be taken and refreshments will be on sale in the lobby.  All proceeds to help benefit building our Education Resource Center/Fellowship Hall. Calvary UM Church hosting Dinner Theater

The Friendship Class of Calvary United Methodist Church will be holding their annual dinner theater at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 13 and at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 14. The title of the play is a comedy “Standing Room Only.” The buffet will consist of roast beef, ham, party potatoes, peas and dumplings, pretzel salad and lots of lots of desserts. Tickets are $12 for adults and children younger than 12 $5. Tickets may be purchased from members of the class or from the church office at 422-8884 or 422-1842.

Services at the Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist

The Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist, located at 307 Federal St. in Milton, will hold Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. and Eucharistic worship service at 10 a.m. followed by coffee hour. Choir participation is every Sunday. Bible Study is at 7 p.m. on Mondays. The Rev. John Barton officiates. For more information, call 684-8431.

La Roca Church Hosts English Language Prayer Meeting

Church of God the Rock (Iglesia de Dios La Roca), 310 S. E. Front St., Milford, hosts an English language Prayer Meeting on Saturdays from 5:30 to 7 p.m.  The name of the group is “The Great I AM Pentecostal Fellowship.” Meetings include praise and worship music, testimonies, prayers for participants, area churches and revival.  People of all ages are welcome to attend. Happenings at Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church

The Youth Department will be sponsoring a Spaghetti Dinner Friday, Feb. 27 at 5 p.m. in the Fellowship. Eat-in or Take-out dinners include spaghetti, salad and roll for $7. Baked goods will also be available for sale.  For information, call 422-5808.
2008 Free Tax Preparation

Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church, 18211 Beach Highway, Ellendale, offers free tax preparation for the Ellendale community. Services will be provided by appointment only through April 10, from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Call 422-5808 to schedule an appointment. Donations to the church are welcome.

Performance at St. John the Apostle Church

“I, Paul,” a play by John DeMers and performed by Charles Baker, is scheduled at St. John the Apostle Church in Milford on Friday, March 13 at 7 p.m. Baker has been performing the lives of great men in religious history since 1989. He will be performing the life of St. Paul in a one-man format.
