What's happening at the Milford Public Library

Visit the Milford Public Library, located at 11 S.E. Front St., overlooking Library Square Park.  The library is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you don’t have time to stop by, check out our website at www.milfordpubliclibrary.org, or give us a call at 422-8996. You can access the Delaware Library Catalog to reserve or renew materials, access your library card account, or just take a leisurely look at what is available at your Delaware libraries.

The library staff wishes to extend its sincere thanks to all who participated in the Christmas Tree Extravaganza. The trees were decorated beautifully. Through your generous donations, almost $1,000 was raised for the Wimer family.

A special thank you also goes out to all who donated scarves, hats, gloves and other items for the “Mitten Tree”. All items will be donated to a local clothes closet.

Call now to reserve your copy of next month’s book club selections. The Monday night group will read “The Glass Castle” by Jeanette Walls and will meet for discussion on January 12 at 7:00 p.m. The Tuesday afternoon group will meet on January 13 at 1:00 p.m. to discuss “The Innocent Man” by John Grisham.

Memorialize/honor a family member or friend while supporting the library expansion project. Brick pavers are available for a donation of $100 for each paver. The pavers are 4” x 8” and can accommodate three lines of printing with 16 characters per line. The pavers will be a perpetual remembrance to share with all who enter the library.
