Dolores Mae Donato, of Millsboro, passed away on Dec. 20, 2008 at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. She was 76.


Dolores Mae Donato, of Millsboro, passed away on Dec. 20, 2008 at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. She was 76.

Mrs. Donato was born on April 1, 1932 in Chester, Pa., the daughter of the late Francis and Margaret Casey Riddle.

Mrs. Donato was an office administrative assistant for a cable company and a member of Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church. She was expressly devoted to her family and loved family gatherings. She loved bowling and was a great sports fan. She especially loved Philadelphia sports teams and Notre Dame. She loved the Irish and collected leprechauns. Her patron saint was St. Jude.

Mrs. Donato was preceded in death by two brothers Francis and Jackie Riddle.

Mrs. Donato is survived by her son Michael Francis Donato and his wife Angela, of Sewell, NJ; three daughters: Suzanne Louis and her husband Richard, of Ocean View, Deana M. Donato, of Millsboro, Christina Ippolite, and her husband Ronald, of Wollwich Twp., NJ. She is also survived by her two brothers Joseph and George Riddle and a sister Margaret Bonaquisti and her husband Vincent of Boothwyn, Pa.; as well as eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Dec. 22 at Mary Mother of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Millsboro. Interment was held privately in the Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.
