First Presbyterian Church of Milford
The First Presbyterian Church of Milford is holding a special service on Christmas Eve. The service will include music, candle lighting and communion. Come and worship with us as we celebrate the birth of our Savior and Lord. Pastor Kevin Bowers invites all to come to weekly services on Sundays at 10:30 a.m., with Sunday school beginning at 9 a.m.
Christmas Eve at Avenue United Methodist Church
4 p.m. Family Candlelight Communion. The worship celebration will include Holy Communion, familiar carols and the wonderful story of Jesus’ birth. The Ave-Notes will provide Christmas music, the message by Pastor Baker is titled, “Amazed and Rejoicing!” The service will conclude with candlelighting and the singing of “Silent Night.” Childcare is provided.
7 p.m. Family Candlelight Service. Christmas Eve is a special night for families. Our Children’s ministry and Music Ministry, directed by Kevin Chamberlain will present a pageant. 9 p.m. Contemporary Candlelight Service. Come celebrate Christmas in an inviting, festive contemporary setting led in worship by the H2O Praise Team. Pastor LaMotte will bring the Christmas Message. The service will conclude with candlelighting and song of praise to the newborn king. Childcare is
11 p.m. Candlelight Communion. Join us for a traditional service of Holy Communion as you make your final spiritual preparations for Christmas. The Lord’s Supper will be celebrated as we remember the birth of the Savior. The message by Pastor Baker is titled, “Amazed and Rejoicing!” The service will conclude in the early moments of Christmas Day with candlelight, and the singing of “Silent Night” Depart in holy wonder, certain that in Jesus, “Emmanuel” God is with us.
Reformation Lutheran Church Christmas worship schedule
7 p.m.: Family service with special children’s program (including their pageant, “The Friendly Beasts”) and candlelight service
9 p.m and 11 p.m.: Candlelight service and Holy Communion.
10 a.m.: Morning matins service with carols and lessons led by Lezlie Eustis.

Southern Delaware Services
The Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware, a welcoming congregation, meets at 10 a.m. Sundays at 33739 Marsh Road in Lewes off Wescoats Road next to Toddy’s. On Sunday, Dec. 28, Reverend D. Michael Smith presents the sermon entitled “Crocodile Tears and Mona Lisa’s Smile”. Reverend Smith reflects on the importance of the seemingly subtle things that make our lives more spiritual.
