The Sussex School of the Arts’ steel drum band will perform in Milton Memorial Park on Wednesday, June 4.

The sounds of the Caribbean seas will fill the park and nearby neighborhoods. The Sussex School of the Arts’ steel drum band has been bringing the sounds of the islands to resort area residents for several years. Now, courtesy of the Town of Milton and sponsored by the Shorts Funeral Services, it will be the headliner in Milton on Wednesday, June 4.

Wear your tropical print shirts and Bermuda shorts for the steel drums of Plenty Problems at the Milton Memorial Park, which is located behind the Milton Public Library on Union Street.

Bring your supper or dessert on a picnic table, spread out a blanket, sit in your own chair or our benches, ride the Lion’s Club train, enjoy the playground while singing along with your favorite tunes. Everyone is welcome to these free summer concerts.

In case of inclement weather the concert will be held in the Milton Theatre (across from the Library). Bring a chair or blanket, ride the Lions’ Club train and enjoy the cool breezes from the Broadkill River. Alcohol is prohibited.
